Forge Agent 0.1.9 is a stable release for Linux hosts managed through the Forge control plane.

Changes

  • Makes signed-release rollback idempotent when the exact target release is already present on the host.
  • Reuses a release directory only after its owner, permissions, entries, Agent bytes, and signed metadata match the requested release exactly.
  • Allows a legacy bootstrap release to adopt only its missing signed source revision after every other identity check passes.
  • Rejects conflicting pre-existing release content instead of overwriting it.
  • Preserves pre-existing releases during interrupted-upgrade recovery.

Verification

Section titled “Verification”

The release workflow passed the privileged Ubuntu systemd interruption and recovery drill, generated deterministic amd64 and arm64 artifacts, signed the manifest with the configured Ed25519 release key, verified artifact hashes, and published the immutable artifacts through Forge’s release gate.

Forge verifies the manifest signature, source revision, compatibility range, architecture, artifact size, and SHA-256 digest before an Agent upgrade is staged.
